Bebe Cool Hosts Successful Listener’s Party in London,New Album 'Break the Chains' Gets Major Attention

Ugandan music star Bebe Cool held a fantastic listener’s party in London for his much-awaited album Break the Chains. The event, hosted at Masq Restaurant and Bar, brought together over 100 guests, including top media personalities from BBC, Westside Radio, The Beat London, and Represent Radio, as well as loyal Bebe Cool fans from the UK.

The night was full of excitement, with Olamide Grace, a presenter from Represent Radio, hosting the event. She led an interesting conversation with Bebe Cool about his album. The artist shared, “For a long time, people have made it seem like Africans should not have ambitions. We were made to believe that some dreams were not for us. This album is me going where most thought we couldn’t go.”

His new album, Break the Chains, blends Afrobeats with global sounds, featuring songs like African Love with Yemi Alade, Games with BBC’s DJ Edu, and Cheque with Joshua Baraka. The album has already gained attention from new fans worldwide.

Guests at the event enjoyed tasty food and drinks, while reconnecting with old friends and making new ones. The party was not just about the music—it gave Bebe Cool a chance to meet and connect with his fans and the UK media.

The excitement continued when Bebe Cool performed on DJ AG's Online Street Party on Friday. DJ AG is known for streaming live mixes on YouTube and TikTok, and his platform has featured artists like Ed Sheeran, Burna Boy, and Craig David. Bebe Cool performed his hit Fire Anthem, as well as tracks from his new album like Hidden Agenda, Circumference, and his collaboration with Joshua Baraka, Cheque.

During the show, DJ AG asked Bebe Cool who he would like to see next on his platform. Past guests have suggested big names like Davido, Burna Boy, and Zuchu. When it was Bebe Cool’s turn, he picked Jay-Z, sparking a conversation in Uganda about whether he should have chosen a Ugandan artist. Bebe Cool explained that featuring Jay-Z would help grow DJ AG’s platform and bring even more attention to African music.

Break the Chains is Bebe Cool’s first album in 10 years, and it marks a big change in his approach to music. Instead of just focusing on physical concerts, Bebe Cool is now focusing on digital platforms to reach a global audience. Uganda has low streaming numbers, and Bebe Cool hopes to help change that. After touring Kenya, Tanzania, and now the UK, he plans to take his music to even more countries.

Released on May 30th, Break the Chains is available for streaming on all major platforms, marking a new chapter in Bebe Cool’s career. With his sights set on even bigger international opportunities, Bebe Cool is ready to keep pushing African music to new heights.
