Bucha Man Admits: “I Have Over Six Women” – Reveals Why He’s Avoided Wedding Bells After 19 Years With Mama Ghetto

Ugandan dancehall figure Bucha Man, born Mark Bugembe, has set social media ablaze after openly admitting why he has never officially walked down the aisle with his longtime partner, Claire Nanganja, popularly known as Mama Ghetto — despite nearly two decades together.

The controversial singer made the candid revelation while attending Daddy Andre’s lavish introduction ceremony in Busia. What was meant to be a celebration quickly turned into a moment of self-reflection — and shocking confession — when Bucha Man conceded that Andre’s public commitment has “challenged” him.

Bucha Man and Mama Ghetto’s love story dates back to 2006. The couple has been together for 19 years and traditionally married for nine of those. However, they stopped at the customary Kukyala ceremony — and never proceeded to a full introduction or church wedding.

While many fans have long speculated about the delay, Bucha Man has now laid the cards on the table.

In a brutally honest interview, the singer admitted that finances were never the real obstacle.

“I would have collected the money needed for all the ceremonies, but I have many women. I have over six women,” he confessed.

According to Bucha Man, choosing to formalize the union through a religious wedding would impose restrictions he is not ready to accept. In his view, marriage would legally and spiritually bind him to one woman — a commitment he openly says he has avoided.

“When you decide to go this route, and then the weddings, they will start putting restrictions on you, saying you must have one woman.”

The statement has sparked heated debate online, with some praising his honesty and others questioning what this means for Mama Ghetto, who has stood by him for nearly two decades.

For years, Mama Ghetto has been perceived as the stable force in Bucha Man’s life. Yet his admission of having “over six women” has reignited conversations about loyalty, modern relationships, and the evolving definition of marriage in the entertainment industry.

Industry insiders say Daddy Andre’s decision to formalize his relationship may have unintentionally pressured other male artists to reflect on their own commitments — and Bucha Man’s comments appear to confirm that.

For now, one thing is clear: Bucha Man has no intention of being “restricted.” And in true dancehall fashion, he’s unapologetic about it.

As the debate rages on, all eyes remain on Mama Ghetto — and whether 19 years of love will ever lead to that long-awaited walk down the aisle.
