Kampala MP Shamim Malende Sparks Relationship Rumors with Comedian Reign Omusoyisoyi Amid Cheating Allegations from Ex-Partner Andrew Ssebunya

Kampala Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Shamim Malende has stirred a wave of speculation following reports of secret family-level meetings with popular Ugandan comedian Reign Omusoyisoyi, real name Regan Mugerwa. The rumored relationship appears to be gaining momentum, with sources close to both parties hinting at an impending traditional introduction ceremony.

According to insiders, Malende and Reign have already met each other’s families in what is being described as a low-key but “very positive” step towards formalizing their relationship. The private nature of these meetings has only fueled curiosity among fans and the public.

The developments have, however, left Andrew Ssebunya, Malende’s former partner and father of her child, in visible shock. Ssebunya publicly accused the legislator of infidelity, alleging that she has been romantically involved with Reign while still in a relationship with him.

“I have evidence that Malende has been cheating on me with that comedian," Ssebunya said in a recent outburst, referencing Reign without naming him directly.

While Hon. Malende has not issued any formal statement addressing the claims, her recent social media activity has raised eyebrows. A series of cryptic captions such as “new beginnings” and “laughter is the best medicine” have led many followers to believe that something personal is indeed unfolding behind the scenes.

Fans have also noted Malende's increasing appearances at private events alongside Reign, often in coordinated attire, which has further cemented public belief that the two are more than just friends.

Reign, one half of the popular comedy duo Maulana and Reign, has not directly commented on the speculation but continues to post content highlighting personal growth, gratitude, and positivity.

The situation has quickly become a trending topic on social media, with users divided—some defending Malende’s right to privacy and new beginnings, while others express sympathy for Ssebunya’s claims.

As it stands, no official confirmation has come from either Malende or Reign. However, the unfolding story continues to captivate the public, with many now watching closely to see whether the rumored introduction ceremony will take place.
