Luxury, love, and culture collide in one of 2025's most captivating wedding celebrations.
Nigeria’s entertainment scene officially welcomed a new power couple as Afrobeats sensation Mr Eazi and actress Temi Otedola sealed their long-standing romance with not one, but three extraordinary weddings spanning Monaco, Dubai, and Iceland in 2025.
The couple’s global celebration seamlessly blended tradition, luxury, and personal flair—featuring custom fashion by world-renowned designers like Zac Posen, Fendi, Louis Vuitton, and Oscar de la Renta, along with musical performances by King Sunny Adé and John Legend.
The pair first met in London in 2017 and got engaged in Venice in 2022, during the shoot of Mr Eazi’s music video for “Legalize.” After three years of engagement, they opted for a multi-location wedding experience that reflected both their cultures and individuality.
“Eazi and I have always been unconventional. All throughout, we honored our rich culture but made sure everything felt like us,” Temi shared.
The journey began in Monaco on May 9, a date chosen to honor Mr Eazi’s late mother. The civil ceremony was a quiet, elegant affair. Temi wore a custom Wiederhoeft suit, while Mr Eazi was dressed in Louis Vuitton.
“We’ve been engaged for three years and together for eight, so we had this weirdly calm energy all day. It just made sense,” Temi said.
Two months later, the celebration moved to Dubai, where the couple hosted a lavish Yoruba traditional wedding at the Otedola family home. Temi stunned in four designer ensembles from Zac Posen, Miss Sohee, Lisa Folawiyo, and Oscar de la Renta. Posen described his look as “something that felt almost like Nefertiti.” Mr Eazi wore a regal outfit by Folawiyo Studio, joining in with live drummers and traditional dancers.
The evening reception transported guests to a reimagined Lagos night—complete with lantern-lit tents, authentic Nigerian cuisine, and a captivating performance by King Sunny Adé.
“My whole vision was to create a setting that transported you to Lagos for the night,” Temi explained.
The final wedding took place in Iceland, a country the couple described as their “favorite place on earth.” Temi walked down the aisle at Reykjavik’s Hallgrimskirkja church wearing a bespoke Fendi Haute Couture gown. Mr Eazi wore a refined look from Saint Laurent.
The reception, held in a glass tent amidst Icelandic landscapes, featured volcanic rock, wild moss, and views of cascading waterfalls. In a surprise moment, John Legend serenaded the couple live.
Mr Eazi and Temi Otedola’s union marks a fresh chapter for African celebrity weddings—one where cultural roots, luxury aesthetics, and personal storytelling collide in harmony.
With their three-part wedding celebration, the couple has not only captured global attention but also redefined what it means to honor love, tradition, and individuality in the modern era.
