“Put Down the Drugs, Pick Up the Bottle—of Water,” Fik Fameica Urges Ugandan Youth in Powerful Anti-Drug Message

Ugandan rap sensation and Fresh Gang Entertainment CEO, Shafik Walukagga, popularly known as Fik Fameica, has delivered a strong and heartfelt message to the youth: Say no to drugs and toxic substances before they destroy your future.

The “Kutama” hitmaker made the passionate appeal during a media interaction where he was asked about the alarming rise in drug abuse among young people, particularly in the entertainment scene.

“To the youth who abuse drugs and other toxic substances, I request that you quit using them because they’re very dangerous,” Fik said. “I urge them to switch to taking water and soft drinks like soda, milk, and yogurt.”

Fik Fameica, known for his clean lifestyle and dedication to music, also addressed speculation about his own habits. When asked whether he had ever experimented with drugs or intoxicants, he gave a firm response:

“I’ve never abused drugs because I fear using them. I’ve never even chewed miraa.”

His words come at a critical time when drug abuse continues to affect countless young people across the country, derailing dreams and destroying lives. Fik’s message adds a much-needed voice of influence and responsibility in a space where many youths look up to celebrities for guidance.

Social advocates and health experts have applauded his stance, emphasizing the role of public figures in promoting healthier, drug-free lifestyles.

As Fik Fameica continues to dominate the music charts, he’s also proving that success doesn’t require shortcuts or substances — just discipline, purpose, and clean living.
