Forever Ugandan upcoming singer and songwriter Victor Ruz, real name Victor Wajja, has publicly opened up about one of the most painful moments in his life — the leak of his intimate video with Ghetto Kids dancer Patricia Nabakooza.
In a heartfelt interview, the "Kikomando" hitmaker admitted that the viral video left lasting emotional wounds that he’s still struggling to heal from.
“I think when they leaked my kissing videos. It wasn’t in my plans. That incident killed me,” he confessed.
The video, which circulated widely on social media, caught both fans and critics off guard, especially given Victor Ruz’s reputation as an artist who avoids publicity stunts and controversy.
Despite his rising fame in Uganda’s music scene, Victor has largely kept his personal life private. The video leak, he says, was not only unexpected but also deeply damaging to his mental and emotional well-being.
“I’ve never really recovered from that moment,” he added, highlighting the weight of dealing with public scrutiny over such a personal matter.
Victor Ruz, known for his soulful voice and introspective lyrics, has continued to push forward in his music career, but his relationship status remains unclear. Since the scandal, fans have speculated about whether he is single or quietly seeing someone away from the public eye.
The singer's honesty has sparked mixed reactions online, with many praising his vulnerability and others questioning the ongoing secrecy surrounding his love life.
