The legacy of fallen Ugandan music star Emmanuel Mayanja, famously known as AK47, continues to live on through his children who are already showing strong leadership potential in school.
The late singer’s sons — Connie Mayanja, Canaan Ace Mayanja, and Xavier Mayanja — have taken up major leadership roles at Merryland International School, Entebbe, marking their first steps into school politics.
Canaan Ace Mayanja currently serves as President of the student body, a role that highlights his confidence and organizational skills. Connie Mayanja was elected Sports Minister, focusing on promoting unity and talent through athletics, while Xavier Mayanja also plays an active role in student leadership and campus initiatives.
The three brothers are being mentored by their uncles — Dr. Jose Chameleone, Pallaso, and Weasel Manizo — who have offered guidance and mentorship on discipline, leadership, and public presentation. After spending several years in Boston, USA, the Mayanja boys returned to Uganda last year to continue their education, quickly standing out as natural leaders among their peers.
Though AK47 passed away in March 2015, his legacy of passion, ambition, and resilience clearly lives on in his sons. Their growing influence in school leadership has been celebrated by fans, with many describing them as “the next generation of the powerful Mayanja family.”
