Controversial Galaxy FM presenter Sovaria Hughes has left jaws dropping after revealing that by the age of 19, she had already slept with over 40 men, a number she says she stopped counting.
Speaking ahead of her 23rd birthday, Sovaria opened up about her past and the choices she made as a young woman trying to survive in Kampala.
“I stopped counting my body count at 40 when I was 19,” Sovaria confessed.
“I came from a British culture where intimacy is not a big deal. But when I came to Kampala, I had no family and I had to survive. My resources — my body — bailed me out.”
The Galaxy FM personality, known for her bold and unfiltered personality on air, said she isn’t ashamed of her past and wants to inspire other young women to embrace their stories without fear of judgment.
Her revelation has sparked a wave of mixed reactions on social media, with some praising her for her honesty and courage, while others criticized her for “glorifying” a reckless lifestyle.
As she prepares to celebrate another year around the sun, Sovaria Hughes seems unbothered by the backlash and continues to stand by her truth.
“It’s my life. I’ve walked the journey, and I own it,” she said.
