Barcelona Suffer Heartbreak At Home: Barcelona vs PSG, 1-2

Barcelona's winning streak in all competitions for the 2025-226 season was brought to a dramatic end by the French giant, PSG, thanks to Goncalo Ramos' 90th minute goal.

The opening 25 minutes of the game was dominated by the home side, Paris Saint-Germain was out classed in every way at the Montjui Olympic Stadium on Wednesday night.

Barcelona completely took control of the ball in the first half, moving the ball perfectly between the lines to create spaces, and pressed harder to force the French side to make regrettable mistakes.

Lamine Yamal's sensation pass to Terran Torres almost gave the home side a lead, fortunately Zabarnyi was fast enough to clear the ball. Barcelona continued pressing in the most part of the first half, which didn't give the visitors any space to breathe.

Barcelona's tireless efforts paid off in the 19th minute of the game; when Yamal stole the ball after Vitinha made a bad pass in their own half. That sparked a spirited counter attack, leading to a clean finish by Ferran from a Marcus Rashford assist.

In the final 20 minutes of the first half, tables turned on Barcelona's head. PSG were more organized and avoided some of the careless mistakes they were making during the opening of the game. The French giants did a great job at frustrating the Blaugrana's press and were careful not to make costly mistakes in their own build up.

It was Nuno Mendes' attack after stealing the ball from a careless Jules Kounde press that gave PSG an equalizer. Nuno Mendes broke down Barcelona's defense, leaving Mayulu Senny by himself, who netted in the equalizer.

The second half was sensational, PSG was back on it's feat and started right where they left in the first half. They were strong and skillfully passed the ball, opening plenty of spaces in the home side's defense.

The visitors were the better side most of the second half of the game. At some point Barcelona showed some signs it was regaining, and pulled off some incredible attacks, which never resulted in a goal.

In the 90th minute, Barcelona’s right-back, Hakimi, allowed Alejandro enough space to pass the ball to Goncalo Ramos, who delivered a sensational goal into the bottom corner. That was enough to seal PSG’s win.
