Brazil Thumps South Korea 5-0

Brazil’s journey to the 2026 World Cup in North America started on a bright side with a 5-0 thumping of South Korea at the Seoul World Cup Stadium on October 10.

Estevao drew the first blood from Bruno Guimaraes’ pass. The Chelsea forward pounced home from close range in the 11th minute giving the visitors a deserved opener.

Brazil was on fire after scoring.  They attacked more vigorously; Casemiro scored 7 minutes later, but the goal was disallowed for an offside. Rodrygo doubled Brazil’s lead 4 minutes before the first half break.

Casemiro, created space between South Korea’s defense to find Rodrygo inside the box, who curled a shot into the bottom corner , far from the lingering hands of the goalkeeper.

A few minutes into the second half, Brazil made it clear that the hosts were no match; Estevao added his second after Kim Min-jae made a mistake near the edge of the box. A fourth goal came in soon when Rodrygo was left unmarked inside the box; it was like a free gift.

In the 77th minute, the Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior, converted the final goal.

Brazil was dominant all through and didn’t give South Korea any chance to display strength even though they were at home.
