Chagga Cries Foul Play, Threatens to Cancel “Friends of Chagga” Concert Over Lack of Support

Veteran singer and music producer Chagga Geoffrey may be forced to cancel his much-anticipated “Friends of Chagga” concert, which was scheduled to take place today at Kati Kati Grounds, Lugogo, after expressing frustration over lack of support from fellow musicians.

According to reports, the former GoodLyfe manager and singer took to social media, lamenting that his industry friends and colleagues had failed to show even the slightest support for his concert.

“My singing friends did not do rehearsals with me, did not buy a single table, and will probably not show up,” Chagga emotionally revealed.

Sources close to the event team say that the singer is deeply disappointed and considering calling off the show altogether, citing betrayal and neglect from those he once helped during his active years in the music industry.

The “Friends of Chagga” concert was meant to celebrate Chagga’s long career and contributions to Uganda’s entertainment scene, with several surprise guest performances initially expected.

However, with low preparations and lukewarm support, uncertainty now clouds the fate of the event.

Chagga, real name Geoffrey Kyagambidwa, is a respected figure in Uganda’s music industry, known for mentoring artists like the late Mowzey Radio and Weasel under the GoodLyfe Crew. His emotional outburst has sparked debate online about solidarity and loyalty among Ugandan musicians.

Fans are now eagerly waiting to see whether Chagga will proceed with the concert or cancel it altogether.
