Dagy Nyce Breaks Silence on Alleged Romantic Past With Carol Nantongo

Media personality and celebrated events host Dagy Nyce, born Douglas Isubikalu Ngobi, has finally addressed long-standing rumors linking him romantically to songstress Carol Nantongo.

Speaking during a recent TV interview, Dagy Nyce dismissed the claims as mere gossip, urging the public to treat them “with the contempt they deserve.” He made it clear that there has never been a romantic relationship between him and the UNMF singer.

The outspoken media personality further expressed happiness for Carol Nantongo, congratulating her upon successfully holding her Kukyala ceremony and wishing her well in her current relationship.

“I’m happy she’s doing well and settled. I congratulate her on the Kukyala,” Dagy Nyce stated.

Addressing his noticeable absence from the traditional ceremony, Dagy Nyce clarified that work commitments took him upcountry at the time, making it impossible for him to attend.

“I was not around; I was upcountry. That’s why you didn’t see me there. I had gone for work. Maybe they invited me, but I wasn’t around,” he explained.

Dagy Nyce was previously a familiar face at UNMF’s Jam Sessions held at Allure Suites, sparking speculation that his frequent appearances were linked to Carol Nantongo. However, he firmly denied the allegations, stating that his attendance was strictly professional.

“Federation is for musicians, and that is my line of work. My checking on her wasn’t wrong because I do that with many people in the industry. I’m a cousin to the music industry,” he said.

Carol Nantongo herself has previously addressed the rumors, confirming in past interviews that her relationship with Dagy Nyce was purely platonic and based on friendship, not romance.

With both parties consistently dismissing the claims, it appears the long-circulated rumor remains just that — speculation with no factual grounding.
