Fik Fameica Claps Back at Critics: “I Don’t Stage Concerts for Money”

Rapper Fik Fameica has set the record straight on claims that his recent concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval was a flop.

Although the show pulled a smaller crowd compared to his past events, Fameica insists numbers don’t define success. Speaking in a local TV interview, the self-styled Fresh Bwoy explained that his focus is on branding and career growth, not on quick profits.

“We have different targets when staging concerts, but I personally don’t look at money. I stage concerts for branding and career maintenance. As long as I get back the money invested in its organization, I consider it a success,” Fameica said.

The rapper noted that concerts come with heavy expenses, including promotion, marketing, and venue rentals, making it unrealistic to expect massive profits every time.

Fik Fameica’s comments come in the wake of rapper Mun G’s confession that his Serena Hotel show in August left him in debt despite being successful in attendance.

With nearly a decade in the industry, Fameica has held multiple headline concerts and continues to cement his place as one of Uganda’s most consistent hip-hop acts.
