Fik Gaza Publicly Apologizes to Pallaso: “I Let My Emotions Get the Best of Me”

Ugandan singer Fik Gaza, real name Shafiq Dangote, has issued a heartfelt apology to fellow musician Pallaso, ending their recent feud and pledging to make amends.

The “Buligita” hitmaker took to his official X (Twitter) account to express regret for his previous remarks about Pallaso, admitting that he had allowed emotions and external influence to cloud his judgment.

“Yo, Uncle @pallasomusic! It’s your boy Fik Gaza here. I wanna take a moment to say sorry, man. Was way outta line with the things I said, and I know I hurt you, bro… I was caught up in the heat of the moment, and I let my emotions get the best of me. Was brainwashed, man, but that’s no excuse,”

Fik went on to acknowledge Pallaso as one of Uganda’s most respected and talented artists, admitting that the “King of the East” star did not deserve the disrespect he had shown him.

“You didn’t deserve that, Uncle Pallaso. You’re a real one, and I’m sorry for letting you go, bro. Hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me, and maybe we can move forward — positive vibes only.”

In a follow-up interview with Galaxy TV, Fik Gaza opened up about Pallaso’s major influence in his music journey, revealing that the veteran artist played a key role in helping him secure his first international performances in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and South Africa.

Fik admitted that he owes much of his early exposure to Pallaso’s mentorship and generosity.

As a sign of genuine remorse, Fik Gaza vowed to personally reconcile with Pallaso once he returns from his ongoing music tour in Germany. In a traditional gesture of apology and respect, the singer promised to bring him a goat as a peace offering.

Fans across social media have praised Fik Gaza’s maturity and humility, applauding him for taking responsibility and seeking reconciliation — a rare move in Uganda’s competitive music industry.
