Media personality and motivational speaker Frank Gashumba has come out strongly in defense of newlyweds Desire Luzinda and gospel singer Levixone, urging netizens and close associates to stop digging up their past and instead let the couple enjoy their marriage.
The two tied the knot last week in a colorful ceremony that has since become the talk of social media. However, shortly after their union, Desire and Levixone have been at the center of heated gossip, with many resurfacing old stories about their past relationships.
Gashumba, known for his bold opinions, condemned the habit of reviving people’s mistakes after marriage. He emphasized that marriage is a sacred bond and that once vows are exchanged, the past should no longer matter.
“When people wed, even if you know so much about their past, please keep it to yourself. Once their vows are said and rings are placed on their fingers, what you say about their past doesn’t matter,” Gashumba stated.
He went on to describe Desire as a “wonderful woman who simply hadn’t been lucky enough to find the right man” before meeting Levixone.
Wishing them a blessed union, Gashumba encouraged the couple to remain strong and committed to each other through both good and challenging times.
“We pray that their marriage is long-lasting,” he added.
With his message, Gashumba joins a growing chorus of voices urging Ugandans to celebrate love rather than focus on negativity.
