Jose Chameleone Warns Promoter Nobat to Stop Defaming Him

Ugandan music icon Jose Chameleone has issued a stern warning to events promoter Nobat Events, demanding that he immediately stops defaming him on social media.

In an audio statement, the Leone Island boss expressed frustration at Nobat’s persistent attacks, accusing him of spreading lies and hatred despite never having worked with him directly.

“Nobat, I don’t know why you have a problem with me because I have never worked with you as my promoter. I have only worked with Balaam, KT, Abitex, among others, and not you. But every time, I see you talking a lot about me with so much hatred. Be careful with your words because they are not factual,” Chameleone warned.

Chameleone pointed out that Nobat’s past clashes with his brothers, Pallaso and Weasel, could be the root of the hostility. Their collaborations ended on a sour note, with Weasel even accusing Nobat of pocketing proceeds from the Memories of Goodlyfe show—a conflict that allegedly turned physical. Since then, the promoter has repeatedly attacked the Mayanja family both online and offline.

According to Chameleone, Nobat’s smear campaign has now gone too far, hurting his family and tarnishing his career image. He made it clear that he would no longer sit back and watch, hinting at possible legal action if the defamation continues.

“I want this message to get to you. For all the words you have said about me, disrespected and embarrassed me—I want it to stop. If it continues, I will seek facts from you in court. I have people in the law willing to take you on. Please stop,” he said firmly.

The dispute comes as Nobat is reportedly fundraising for his upcoming introduction ceremony, leaving fans questioning whether his constant attacks on the celebrated singer are a strategy to gain attention.
