Kapeke Survives Chaos as Students Smash His Car at Bombo Kalule

Musician Kapeke, real name Derrick Nsubuga, found himself in a tense situation after students at St. Peter’s Bombo Kalule turned chaotic and smashed the windows of his car.

Kapeke had been booked to perform at the school, a popular choice thanks to how well his music connects with young audiences. However, upon arrival, he remained in the car as he and the event organizers ironed out several payment-related issues.

This delay didn’t sit well with the students. Eager to see him perform, the students surrounded his car and demanded he comes out to sing. Ignoring the behind-the-scenes negotiations, they grew impatient and rowdy. In the middle of the commotion, the students smashed the car windows.

The situation spiraled quickly, forcing Kapeke and his team to step out and navigate through the angry crowd. Despite students pulling his hair and grabbing his outfit, the singer had no choice but to apply force and push his way to the stage.

In a phone call with Florah Show, the singer’s manager, Mpeke, confirmed the incident and damage:

“Yes, the car was damaged, but the artist was not hurt,” he said.

Videos making rounds on social media show Kapeke’s brand-new white Toyota Rumion with a smashed rear window driving through a street, likely after the incident.

Fans online have since expressed concern about the safety of artists, especially in school settings, calling on event organizers to ensure better coordination and security moving forward.
