Ugandan musician and songwriter Moni Mor continues to prove that music can do more than entertain — it can transform lives. Known for his uplifting lyrics and humanitarian spirit, Moni Mor is using his talent to bring hope to the Ghetto community and beyond.
Beyond his artistry, Moni Mor is the founder of a home that supports underprivileged children, offering them shelter, education, and guidance. Recently, he held a successful fundraising concert aimed at paying school tuition for the 45 children under his care — and thanks to his efforts, all of them are now back in school.
“Seeing the children return to class is the greatest reward for me. It reminds me why I do what I do,” Moni Mor said after the event.
Through his music, Moni Mor preaches peace, Ghetto love, and motivation, inspiring many young people to believe in themselves. In his song “Ngenda Nkulela,” he encourages Ghetto youths to wake up early, work hard, and chase their dreams.
In another heartfelt track, “Another Day, Another Blessing,” Moni Mor tells his personal story — rising from the Ghetto, finding success, and returning to uplift others. His message is simple but powerful: never forget where you come from.
Reflecting on his journey, Moni Mor admits that one of his biggest regrets was wasting time responding to negativity.
“I wasted a lot of time replying to people who didn’t matter. If I had invested that time in music and my humanity work, I’d be far,” he said.
Now focused and re-energized, Moni Mor has assembled a new team that shares his vision of using art and activism to create positive change. His dream is to make the Ghetto a comfortable and dignified place to live.
“I believe the Ghetto can be a place of peace, creativity, and opportunity. That’s what I’m working for every day,” he emphasized.
With his growing influence, heart for humanity, and unwavering commitment to the underprivileged, Moni Mor stands out as one of Uganda’s most inspiring voices — proving that music, when guided by purpose, can build both dreams and futures.
