Mr. Henrie Bids Farewell to Galaxy FM and TV After 8 Years

Popular Ugandan radio and TV presenter Arinaitwe Henry, widely known as Mr. Henrie, has officially announced his departure from Galaxy FM and Galaxy TV, where he has worked for nearly eight years.

In an emotional farewell message to his fans—whom he affectionately calls Bazzinyi and Bakonkonyi—Mr. Henrie described the station as his “home, family, and the heartbeat of my career.” Since joining Galaxy FM, Mr. Henrie quickly rose to become one of the most celebrated radio presenters in Uganda, earning the love of listeners both locally and internationally. His engaging style, charisma, and connection with the audience made him a household name in Uganda’s entertainment industry.

He credited his fans for making him “Uganda’s number one radio presenter,” appreciating every cheer, call, and interaction that shaped his journey. Beyond his on-air role, Mr. Henrie also served as part of Galaxy FM management in the PR department, a responsibility he says helped him grow as a professional and leader.

While expressing deep gratitude to Galaxy FM management for believing in him, Mr. Henrie admitted that the decision to leave was not easy. “Galaxy has been my second home, but it’s time for me to chase new dreams and pursue new goals,” he wrote. He hinted at a fresh chapter, noting that with God as his guide, it is now time to focus on “new energy.”

Although he did not reveal his next career move, fans and industry insiders are already speculating about where he might be headed—whether to another radio station, television platform, or perhaps new ventures in media and entertainment. One thing is certain: Mr. Henrie’s departure marks the end of an era at Galaxy FM and TV, but also the beginning of another exciting journey in Uganda’s entertainment industry.
