In the music industry, scandals may fade, but murder is the one stain that never washes away. It has ended careers, tainted legacies, and haunted some of the biggest names both globally and locally. Globally, Vybz Kartel was at the height of his dancehall reign before his conviction for murder brought his career to a permanent halt. In Uganda, Spice Diana’s brand took a hit when she was linked to a murder case. Though she was never convicted, her career never fully recovered. Jose Chameleone also carries this burden. The Karamagi case remains tied to his name, and to this day, he has reportedly never performed in Fort Portal — proof that such stains rarely fade.
Uganda’s controversial hitmaker Alien Skin now faces allegations that could severely damage his career. Uganda Top Dancer, a TikTok sensation celebrated for his electrifying dance moves, was allegedly attacked by Alien Skin and his gang. In a video circulating online, he explained that he had gone to collect his sound battery before heading to work. He was confronted by Babu, a known associate, which sparked a scuffle. While bystanders briefly intervened, Uganda Top Dancer was later allegedly taken to Fangone Forest, where his sound system and phone were confiscated. He was then physically assaulted by Alien Skin, receiving blows to the stomach and head that caused serious injuries.
Reports indicate that the dancer hails from Mbale and will be laid to rest at his ancestral burial grounds. Murder allegations have a long history of derailing music careers, and with this case now under investigation, Alien Skin’s future in the industry is uncertain. The question remains: Can he survive this storm, or is his music career already facing its deadliest challenge?
