Award-winning musician Eddy Kenzo has spoken out about why he rarely makes public appearances with his partner, Hon. Phiona Nyamutoro, despite growing curiosity from fans and the media.
Kenzo, who was recently spotted attending Halimah Namakula’s grand 50th anniversary celebration, showed up solo—raising eyebrows about the absence of his wife. Speaking to Sanyuka TV, the Big Talent Entertainment boss addressed the matter with clarity and intent.
“My wife is not for show. She is not my wife to be dragged to different places,” Kenzo said. “We go to events where we are supposed to go together, and where I’m supposed to be, I go alone. There is nothing to show off for, and I’m not here to prove points to anybody.”
The Sitya Loss star also commented on a viral video making rounds on social media, which shows him carrying Nyamutoro on his back in a playful moment. He revealed that the clip was captured by a close friend during a private moment and was never meant for the public eye.
“It was just fun between us—someone close recorded us and decided to post it. That’s how it went viral.”
Eddy Kenzo and Hon. Phiona Nyamutoro, the State Minister for Energy and Mineral Development (Minerals), made their relationship public last year, later holding a low-key Kukyala ceremony. Sources close to the couple reveal that plans are underway to officially tie the knot in the near future.
While the power couple may keep their love life out of the spotlight, their connection continues to spark admiration and interest from fans across the country.
