The countdown is on, and excitement is already in the air as the Old School & Vibe Brunch edges closer to rocking music lovers this Saturday, 29th September 2025, at Mashed Palms Resort along Mityana Road. With 80% of the tickets already sold out, the event is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated parties of the year.
Kicking off at 1 PM till late, the brunch promises to take revelers on a nostalgic journey through the ’90s and early 2000s—strictly music released before 2005. From timeless RnB jams, hip-hop classics, reggae anthems, to Ugandan bangers that defined an era, the playlist is set to bring back memories while also winning over a younger crowd.
The powerful lineup of performers features some of Uganda’s favorite spinners and entertainers: DJ Kace, DJ Romario, DJ Moze, DJ Mercy Pro, DJ Sync, and the ever-charismatic MC Kats, who doubles as host for the night.
Speaking ahead of the event, MC Kats highlighted the surprising yet heartwarming crossover appeal of old school music:
“I host live band nights every Wednesday, and I’ve realized Gen Z know these songs word for word. So while we’re targeting millennials with this brunch, it’s open to everyone who wants to vibe, dance, and relive the magic.”
To make the experience even smoother, organizers have announced free transport for fans who buy tickets online, with the pick-up point at Kati Kati Grounds, Lugogo. This gesture is aimed at encouraging early ticket purchases and giving revelers a convenient way to get to the venue.
Tickets are available at UGX 60,000 (advance) and UGX 80,000 (gate). Fans can secure their slots through Mticket.252.co.ug, by dialing *185*9#, or using merchant code 4394454.
With the event nearly sold out, organizers are urging party lovers not to wait until the last minute. Whether you’re a millennial yearning for the golden days of music or a Gen Z curious to experience the sounds that shaped culture before streaming platforms, the Old School & Vibe Brunch promises to deliver a wholesome celebration of music, food, and community.
Don’t miss the vibe. This Saturday, the past comes alive at Mashed Palms Resort.
