Rickman Breaks Silence on Returning to the Ring: “If You Want to Fight Me, Have UGX 100M Ready”

Ugandan rapper Rickman Manrick has made headlines after delivering a bold statement regarding his potential return to the ring. Speaking to journalists during a recent media interaction, the “Bango” hitmaker made it clear that he’s open to stepping back into the boxing ring — but only if the price is right.

“If you want to fight me, I have no problem. But you should have UGX 100 million for me to enter that ring. I want money — nothing else. I don’t care who wants to enter the ring with me,” Rickman said confidently.

The remarks came after journalists asked whether he would consider fighting again, with Young Mulo being one of the names mentioned as a potential opponent. However, Rickman was quick to draw a line between hype and actual readiness for a professional match.

“Ring fighting is different from street fighting,” he added, implying that some artists might be underestimating the discipline and skill required for a sanctioned boxing match.

Rickman’s comments come at a time when celebrity boxing matches are gaining traction in Uganda, merging entertainment with sport in a way that captivates both fans and critics alike. Known for his music and charismatic personality, Rickman previously teased interest in boxing, but his latest declaration sets a clear financial boundary for anyone hoping to challenge him.

While Young Mulo has yet to respond to Rickman’s statements, fans are already buzzing on social media, calling for a potential showdown between the two entertainers.

Whether the fight materializes or not, one thing is clear — Rickman is not stepping into the ring unless the bag is secured.
