Renowned Ugandan singer Weasel Manizo, real name Douglas Mayanja, was reportedly involved in a violent domestic incident at Shans Bar in Munyonyo during the early hours of Wednesday morning, resulting in him being hospitalized with broken legs.
According to eyewitness accounts, the chaos unfolded at around 1:00 AM while Weasel was hanging out with friends, including his manager Abba and backup singer Vyper Ranking.
The singer’s wife, Sandra Teta, is said to have stormed the venue unexpectedly, leaving their two children at the bar before driving off. Roughly 45 minutes later, Sandra returned, placed the children in her car, and approached Weasel in what turned into a heated altercation.
Witnesses claim she slapped Weasel repeatedly while yelling at him in front of onlookers and their children.
"Oli malaya musajja gwe! The kids are at home without food and you’re here boozing with your prostitutes!" she reportedly shouted.
What followed shocked many — Sandra allegedly entered her vehicle and knocked Weasel twice before speeding off.
The injured singer was rushed to Nsambya Hospital by friends and is currently receiving treatment for broken legs. His condition remains serious, but stable.
By press time, neither the Goodlyfe Management nor Weasel’s family had issued any official statement. Efforts to get a comment from Sandra Teta were unsuccessful.
Fans and fellow artists have since taken to social media, expressing concern and urging for privacy and support for the children involved in the unfortunate incident.
