The Uganda Police Force has confirmed the arrest and detention of TikTok personality Kenneth Lukyamuzi Nyanzi, popularly known as Ken Mukalakasa, on allegations of engaging in acts “against the order of nature.”
According to a statement released by Racheal Kawala, the spokesperson for Kampala Metropolitan Police, Mukalakasa is currently in custody as investigations continue into a video that allegedly shows him and other individuals engaging in the said acts.
Police revealed that the 27-year-old social media influencer was arrested on March 24, 2026, in Kampala. Authorities say the video in question is believed to have been recorded in 2018 in Kajjansi and has recently resurfaced online, drawing widespread public attention.

“The suspect is currently in custody, and investigations are ongoing. The case file will be submitted to the Director of Public Prosecutions for further legal guidance,” Kawala stated. Police also indicated that efforts are underway to identify and apprehend other individuals allegedly involved in the incident.
Days before his arrest, Mukalakasa had appeared at the office of Balaam Barugahara, where he initially denied allegations linked to the incident, including claims of assault involving a minor. However, according to Balaam, Mukalakasa later admitted to aspects of the allegations after being confronted.
“He initially denied the accusations, but I informed him that forensic evidence would be used. He has since not denied,” Balaam stated, adding that he advised the influencer to seek forgiveness.
The Uganda Police has urged members of the public to refrain from engaging in unlawful activities and to report any suspected cases to authorities, noting that investigations remain active and more updates will be provided as the case develops.
