“Today’s Musicians Can’t Match the Big 3” – Kasuku Fires Shots at Current Stars

Media personality Kasuku has taken a swipe at today’s musicians, claiming they can’t match the wild influence and daring antics of Uganda’s legendary “Big 3” – Bobi Wine, Bebe Cool, and Dr. Jose Chameleone.

On the Talk and Talk Show, Kasuku recalled the chaotic glory days of the Ugandan music scene, when Firebase buses were always packed for Bobi Wine shows, fights would break out outside Club Silk, and top artists were banned from Ange Noir (now Club Guvnor) for unruly behavior.

Kasuku revealed that both Bobi Wine and Chameleone faced bans at Ange Noir due to their high-octane performances and backstage clashes, while the constant wars among artists contributed to the eventual downfall of Club Silk. “There’s nothing the current generation is doing that hasn’t been unleashed before. Back then, punches were flying, fans were wild, and the energy was unmatched,” he said.

He also dismissed current musician feuds, such as Chameleone vs. Alien Skin, calling them mild compared to the battles of the past. Kasuku argued that while musicians today may try to portray themselves as rebellious or society-challenging, the era of the Big 3 defined true chaos, hype, and influence.

“Musicians’ value has depreciated, but the Big 3 were not just entertainers – they were a phenomenon. Whatever today’s stars are doing, it has already been done, and even bigger,” Kasuku added, reminding fans of a time when music, feuds, and fan culture collided to create legendary nightlife moments.
